From the 6th April 2010 the Building Regulations Part G limits the amount of estimated water use in new dwellings to 125 litres per day per person.
The aim is to improve water efficiency. Revisions in 2015 provide an alternative to calculating the water consumption based on the maximum water flow from water fittings. Where the fittings approach is used, the water consumption of the fittings provided must not exceed set values; for example 6 litres per minute for a bath.
Logicor’s InLine Hot Water System meets these requirements by setting a maximum flow rate of hot water to 6 litres per minute.

The InLine Hot Water System has been designed and built with a focus on quality and safety and meets all relevant requirements of applicable product safety directives.
The EC Declaration of Conformity Certificate is a sign that the ILHWS has been designed and constructed for compliance with relevant essential requirements, and has been through the appropriate conformity assessment processes.

The Building Regulations 2010, Part G – Sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) fought a long and successful campaign to prevent horrific bath water scalds in homes across the UK. The result was an amendment to the Building Regulations which came into effect on 6th April 2010. All new-build homes across England and Wales after that date must have devices fitted to baths to limit the temperature of the water to 48°C. That temperature is still more than hot enough for domestic use, but it removes the potential for the most serious scald injuries to happen.
“The hot water supply temperature to a bath should be limited to a maximum of 48°C by use of an in-line blending valve or other appropriate temperature control device, with a maximum temperature stop and a suitable arrangement of pipework.”
Logicor’s InLine Hot Water System fully complies with the new regulations, having a maximum temperature set at 46°C, a full 2°C below the safety level.
